Panther G Splinter Camo Question???

I was hoping someone could help me with information regarding splinter or disruptive camo on late war Panthers.

I have searched for some reliable sources in books or on the internet, without any success.

Does anyone know if there actual was a pattern that looked something like these colour illustrations?

I am aware that with colour plates, the artist's interpretation and imagination sometimes leads to inaccuracy in historic portrayal.

I have a few references that show the pattern of Panther 324... I have not seen the pattern on 322----yet.

If you need the references let me know, I will forward the ISBN..

Cheers.
Yes, please.

That would be a big help :D

While we're on the subject of late war Panthers, here is another one from Echelon decals, with a historic photo for back up.

I find late war stuff hard to get good data on, this one, like many from that time just says "unidentified unit".

Yeah, I like that one and they have done a nice job on it.

I am not saying it isn't authentic but I am looking for historic B&W photos that would authenticate that pattern, I hope to find some.

Those look like the green base with thin yellow stripes used by the manufacturer MNH, my present Panther is based on those.

Glen,

Dragon Armor had that Panther in 1/35

Image

supposedly the area of the Balaton Offensive was chiefly the 6th SS Panzer Div

or maybe

this tank belonged to PzDiv Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler, either 3. or 4. Kompanie

Thanks for posting that, it is interesting to see it portrayed as a model, as opposed to a colour plate.

Makes and interesting looking model IMHO. :)
