hey guys,
as i understand, el-mod provides very decent sounds, so it deserves a decent speaker to play through! but my question is, i dont know what sort or where to get one
any recommendations would be very helpful, bearing in mind that i need it fairly small but quite bassy!
cheers,
Matt

Check the PDF Below!!!
IF you have the rooom for it this is the ultimate EL MOD speaker, the sound will blow you away! You have 10 watts with EL MOD and it was designed for a 4 ohm speaker, and try to line up the other specs as much as possible!

Also building a Boom box around the speaker will be the greatest improvement even to a poor speaker, try lifting the speaker out of a Tamiya tank just to show the difference

i have 2 speakers in my Tiger, standard HL(crap) and the boombox speaker that elmod used to sell, not a bad sound atall, i think tanktoko still sell the elmod speaker, might be worth a try, but what rivet' said is right, building a decent box around youre speaker will help no end. when i strip my Tiger down next i'm tempted to build a tuned port speaker box for mine, to try and get rid of the tinny sound you get from the HL speaker

thankyou very much for all your responses guys, they have helped alot!
@ Blitz ill check out that pdf when i get home, im in college at the moment so cant look at it!
@fv432 yes i hear that at bovvington, and it certainly did take away the tinniyness and added more lower tones, and sounds overall alot better! ill check out maplins and have a look round!
@oz, dont worry about the hijakmate, hey this forum is here to help
@rivetcounter, if i have enough space, ill certainly give that box ago, anything to improve the sound!!
@Tony, 2 speakers

cool!

the more the better!! ill watch your build closely if you dod decide to do it!!
cheers for the respnses guys!

hi matt, it will be hard for you to follow my build, mainly because she is already built,

, but i'm just about to take the lid off my Tiger, so will take some pic's while i have her apart, and post them so you can see how it looks inside, i just cant wait to get the asiatam lower hull it will make things easier to place everything inside
