The battle of the bulge was a film that is crying out for a remake with modern cgi.
Infact mark 1 Tanks produce 1/4 scale rc tanks and he has been asked my numerous directors to use his tanks in long shots etc.
The film was the worse use of non standard equipment ever and yes where did all the snow go.

I watched Kelly's heroes the other night and the tiger in that is a bit naff
the tracks are too narrow and the hull is all wrong the only thing that looked right is the turret

I know but at least they amde an attempt to make it look like a tiger unlike the tanks in Battle of the Bulge.

Some good tanks and period vehicles in a bridge at remagen one of my fav all time war films up there with Kellys heroes.

The Tiger in "Kelly's Heroes" is one of the T34's that where converted one was also used in "Saving Private Ryan" "Band of Brothers" used a T55

"Battle of the Bulge" well what can I say it was wrote by Americans filmed by Americans and vastly exaggerated by Americans, Tiger II wasn't used on mass like the film claims only a few German Commandos got behind the lines this film bares little if any resemblance to the real truth

you can trust the American's to get the facts wrong. just look at what they did to the story of the capture of the enigma machine by the British during WWII

I was 14 yrs old when I first went to see 'The Battle of the Bulge' in widescreen Cinerama. It knocked my socks off and I'm sure it was that experience that gave me my obsession for tanks. For years after I thought King Tigers looked like that!

I still have a nostalgic fondness for that film.
