I dont yet own any tanks, ive been racing 1/32 slot cars for a few years and fancy getting into something bigger, ive just been looking at the cheaper heng long stuff to start with does anyone have any reccomendations?

hello mate and welcome your first tank is your choice but try to get as much metal parts on it as you can afford will be worth it in the end, dont forget its fun at the end of the day good luck and happy hunting

thanks for the welcomes guys. been having a good browse through the forums on here, really looking forward to getting my hands on a tank and applying some zimmerit lol

Welcome Tom, First tanks a hard choice with so many fine tanks now on the market. Are you considering I/R battle? Most seem to start with the Tiger, but the Panther G and Jagdpanther also make fine first tanks and all three were Zimmerite coated at some point in their deployment.

I do like the jadgpanther, but, I think for a first tank I want something with a moving gun. Ive always liked the tiger more than the panther so that will probably be a first choice. I am also considering a sherman but my first choice will more than likely be a german tank. I am not really a fan of russian tanks.

I have considered I/R but unless there are other people in my area to battle i will stick to BB's to start with as i can mess about with that in the back yard by myself.
