This is my speed boat I built using plans from the net. It is totally scratch built, using balsa and ply for the hull construction. I gave my boat a deep V, not sticking to the plan which had a flat hull design. My 12V brushed motor is water cooled and controlled with a mechanical speed controller linked to a servo. I made the prop out of brass plate and a hardwood dowel, that took quite a while... Here is a few pics enjoy

Top job, i'm going to build one of these next http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=522762 and use it as a rescue boat.
