Heavy Tank Mako Board & ATRC Review

Hi Guys,
Got myself the latest Mako board and ATRC with JABB from RC Tank Australia so thought I do another review as it has a number of extra features over the original.
The additiction features are -
Comes in either medium or heavy tank version. But the user can switch to medium if has the heavy version and vice versa. So can easily switch between tanks.
Now supports WSN/Torro IR as well as Tamiya IR
Board has output for easy connection of a ATRC (Anti Track Recoil Circuit). Previously this needed soldering onto the RX18
Board comes with a hit indicator LED.
Board has output for the soon to be released Mamba board. This will reduce tank power with tank hits.
Reduced size.
Here's a picture of the old board (top) and the new one with the ARTC

Close up

As you can see the hit LED plugs into the bottom of the board.
And this is it installed, all plug and play only need to cut the motor leads to put into the ATRC contacts. I did it in about 2 minutes.

Quick test and it all works as should it battles against the other brands fine. All hit shudder and death roll have elimated with the ATRC. Plus as the ATRC has JABB (Just A Bit Back) when I fire I get a little track recoil but not the violent movement of before. As far as I know this is programmed into the chip before shipping so if you want it or not best check at time of purchase.
Now due to weather not been able to test the IR range, but I didn't notice any issue with the original board so expect this to be fine too.
It will get a proper testing at next month tank meet so will update more after that.
Ian.
