Hello.
Well, first I appologise by anticipation for all my future errors in english language !!
Well, my french is much better, as i am a frenchy...
I've started rc tanks 2 years ago now, when I've dicoverd Heng-Long tanks.. and their price (Sorry Tamiya-San, but yours are.. Expensive ??)
Rc tanks is my "second" hobby, the main one being flying in "old" aircraft in an old aircraft restoration association (eeerkk.. might no be very english that sentence..)
I've discovered your forum while looking for info on some tanks, and dicovering the different realisation that were done by all of you..
Already done is a Panzer III (not weathered yet) and on going is a StuG III (not a lot of room available at home !!)
I'm also on an french forum, so don't be surprised not to see me very often, but I will keep an eye on what's happening here !

Hi monk,
Welcome to the Forum
Your English is great in fact I think that it is probably
better than some English people can actually write !!..
The Forum is a very friendly place and you will have no problem in finding any help or advice that you need. There is a 'search box' located in the top right hand corner of the main banner but if that does not help then please just start a post and you can guarantee that your question will be quickly answered.
Please can you tell me which part of France you are actually in ?? I retired to France about 3 1/2 years ago

and have not seen anything about remote control so I presumed that it was not really a very popular hobby here.
Just in case my answer is a bit difficult to understand then here it is in French....You have to love computers

For myself, I live close to Lyon in "south" east of France

Hi monk,
Your English is great..it really is.....

......Thank you for the link to the tank forums......I did not think that the WW2 RC was a very popular hobby in France ..but I am pleased to see that I am wrong....
I live near what is jokingly called ' Dordogne-Shire ' .......because there are so many English in the area.....

....but more accurately, in Depatment 47, Lot et Garonne....my nearest town is Eymet ....but I have been told that apparently the French consider it to be the equivalent of 'Hill-Billy' or 'Red-Neck' country !!...because the local French accent is such a strong rural one.....so my son will end up sounding like a French Hill-Billy..!!....

......If he ever wants to move to Paris then he will have to take 'elocution lessons' so that they do not laugh at his accent.....
