I thought the kit was a bit flimsy for RC and anyway I would'nt know how to do it. Good value kit. Got it cheap from Hong Kong. Will look good alongside a Panzer IV. Need an Sdkfz251 for the rest of the troops.

Hi mate if you google them in RC theres loads done. Im not bothered about it going into the water. I planed to scratch build a 251 D using the Rolling Thunder parts but I was advised there not upto RC . Im planing a 250 ausf,B build from the Armour Hobbies halftrack . I cant afford the Armotek and Mk1 stuff Im afraid . But anyway a lovely job you have done i like it.

Thanks Andy.
I am happy enough with it as a static model. I want to do some photos when I have some vehicles completed. Have a friend with a large selection of figures and vehicles. The armortek vehicles are expensive but it is possible to pick up an early Tiger Armortek kit for around £1500 unbuilt. When you consider the months or even years of enjoyment they are good value and last forever. I am not impressed with Mark 1 as I prefer the all metal even though you get the problems of managing the massive weight. I have the motors fitted to my tiger for a few months now. Tested off the ground and everything functions. Sound system ready to fit. Might take it for a drive soon.

I read a post recently on the 250 kit being a bit brittle. There was a post on the forum.

I have two Armorteks now. The Panzer IV will be less of a handful. A King Tiger will finish the collection nicely unless I go to live on a farm.

Hi mate sounds like you have a nice collection . Yeah the Armour Hobbies 250 can be however Im on a tight budget but with the build Im doing it will be a ausf B version . Im making all the half track including the suspension etc . Im going to improve all the parts I have. I was going to use the Rolling Thunder 251 parts to make a 251 D but they are very weak. I have a Dragon Kubelwagen all ready RC converted , Dragon Schwimwagen still boxed , I got a Dragon kettenkrad thats part made , 21st Cent Pak 40 that Im going to compleatly re build . I got this over the Dragon one as there one is made of rubbish plastic , or so I have been told. I was considering making a Demag but with those Armour Hobbies parts.
