If you disassemble the side plate, place the hole over a vice with the jaws close just to the width of the hole, using a punch strike the opening side once just a good smack, then re-install the bushing, you may need to use the vice to press the bushing back into place.

The frame side should now retain the bushing due to the slight distortion of the hole. It is important to angle the punch on the inside of the gearbox frame pushing the hole edge slightly outward. I used this method just recently on my 2-year old Asiatam gearbox in my Tiger, two bushings had started working out like yours.

If you distort the bushing it may effect the shaft end of most likely damage the bushing, yet the frame if slightly distorted should not effect the friction point of the bushing.

I have disassembled this gearbox maybe 4 times, each time running in and then cleaning the gears. For Lubrication I use 3in1 light oil,a few drops in the bushings. I run the gears dry.

My two cents worth,cheers Blake

I shim my Heng Long metal gearboxes with brass washers - not sure if that would help in this instance.

if the super glue doesnt work solder the edge of the bush to the case, the solder will stick to the brass and stop it pulling through
