milliput zim is really easy, just takes time. it was my first time using it and found it daunting at first but after that wasnt too bad. i used a terminal driver to put the zim marks on bud. jeff

just get it at the model shop, its about £5 ish. two part putty that you knead to mix it. it is time consuming, took me about 9 hours over two days to do mine. others could prob do it quicker.

before removing the skirt armour has anyone done it to a hl king tiger berfore is it as straight forward as im thinking it is or any other problems i may encounter as i want her without her skirt on 8)
or any details these tank should have that i dont know about before i start going to town on it

ok on closer look the lower armour skirts are part of the hl moulding to remove them means having to build them up as pic below shows
Image
Image
notice that dam ridge .....so i had an idea ill cut of the skirts face the flat edge in the groove and use them to build it up
Image
check the fit rather ok i reckon

now for some glueing and fitting i will take them back to the correct line then build the hull up to the correct line

im left with some left over plastic to build up the gaps when i cut the excess

for zimmerit, I recomend this stuff....its green and if you scuff the tank its green rather than white...

I used a hacksaw blade with the blades pointing up to get this look....
