Heng Long Tiger Question.

Hello All

I joined this forum quite a while ago but did not buy a tank. Anyway to cut a long story short today i ordered a Heng Long Tiger 1 with smoke and sound. With a fair wind it should arrive later this week.

With the smoke system do I have to add smoke oil for every run or can i run it without smoke indoors without damaging the smoke unit through lack of oil/overheating?

Thanks for any advice.

Cheers
Jon

Jon,

Got mine last week. There is a switch underneath so you can turn the smoke compressor off. Where did you get yours from. I am trying to find a pladce to purchase upgrade parts

Thank you Sir

I was hoping it would have a switch. I think my wife would suffer a total sense of humour failure if i had a smoke generator going in the house!

I bought the tank from Howes Models in the UK.

Cheers
Jon

Don't worry about your wifes sense of humour failure mate, its not as if it churns out smoke like a WW2 destroyer evading kamikazes, in my opinion its barely a whisp unless you do some serious tinkering with it. A lot of guys don't even bother switching it on....

I run mine indoors with the smoke on, as Abo said its more a whisp of smoke not a plume - the only thing is a slight hot oil smell that the wife keeps noticing - I just tell her I have been doing some soldering which she accepts.
In fact if its windy outside the smoke is hardly noticeable because it blows away so fast.

With the stock smoker, I found that you have to use your nose, If it starts to smell burnt, then switch off and add A FEW drops of smoke oil. If you add to much you will saturate the chamber and get no smoke at all. I don't wanna turn a smile into a frown, but such things are not meant to last :(In other words, only use the smoker if you wanna show off.

Thanks for the advice - it is much appreciated.

The Tiger arrived today and the battery pack is now on charge.
Must admit i am surprised at how good it is for the money.
