magach 7
Re: magach 7
cheers john
will be shouting for your help
i have the academy m60 w/reactive armour so this will serve as a base for measurements and overall look still not sure on the turret was it a complete re-build or just a case of extra armour and an up graded gun??
as from the seems it looks nothing like the m60 turret

Hi Rob,
I'm pretty sure it's the M60 turret with a modular armour package bolted on, very similar to the Leopard 2-A5.
I read somewhere on the Rheinmantel site that the Germans & Israeli's were co-operating on modular armour!
Cheers
John

The main gun is still a 105mm, only the export version (Sabra) has the 120mm. I can't find anything in Janes about a new turret, everything reads like its just bolt-on armour as John said.fv432 wrote: not sure on the turret was it a complete re-build or just a case of extra armour and an up graded gun??
Having said that, there's so little of the turret showing that you could get away with using the Pershing's carcase as a base tho the turret hatches would have to be thrown away and the openings reloacated.

Thanks for the confirmation Mart.
Looks like this project is definitely on then.
With Rob at the helm it should be an absolute stunner.
Cheers
