BEIER USM-HL (sounds)

As requested......A quick static sound-vid of my Taigen Tiger that I`ve just fitted with the BEIER USM-HL sound module (these are the pre-loaded sounds for Tiger-1 with maybach v12) I will say the sound repo on this vid is not brill, with camera mic and the original HL speaker an all. But in 'running-mode' you really can hear brakes & chain squeel (proportional) engine revving-up on start-up, gear selection/transmission 'take-up' & 'whine' with different direction-selections from idle, oh and proportional engine note change with throttle up & down. The MG sounds (3 in all) are just right. The cannon sound used is not the best one of 3 available. There are also 3-4 more (programable) sounds available with 'engine-off' mode. Using the left stick I`ve currently got riffle-shot, cuppola MG and, yes, a horn :haha:

ps....I`d been playing with tig for nearly an hour, afor doing this vid, so battery not up to par (always can tell cos flash acts-up :/ )

Thanks for taking the time to make a video and upload it.

It certainly sounds good, even with the standard HL speaker.

Can I ask where you bought it from?

Ian.

Very nice ..huge improvement on what was in there. It just gives that, another level of realism.
I think its about time tamyia add some track sounds and a better Mg sound to theres. I like the Tamyia sound, but for the money you pay from them i think they need to look at the competition from its competitors.

I love it.....the more you listen to it, the more you pick-up on (now for a decent speaker & box!.....any ideas?)

Ian, I got it directly from BEIER-Electronic in Germany :- www.beier-electronic.de Email:_ info@beier-electronic.de
and cost me 129.00 euros + 14.95 euros shipping for the full-monty kit (you`ll have to do a money transfer into their bank account before they dispatch the unit) & takes about 3-4 wks! (Oh, the instructions are in German Only, a real pain! but the 'sound-teacher' software CD is configurable in English)

The USM-HL is designed to literally be a plug-fit insertion in the RX18-to-Reciever board lead + the speaker leads

You will not be disappointed with the sound of that speaker Tb.. Its about as large as your going to get in that tank with all the equipment..Smoke system you use ..Your going to have to chop a little of the box the speaker to get to fit it. Not a huge prob and doesn't effect the sound quality by doing so.

Here, here Caddyshack

Come on then Welsh-dragon....you`ve gotta look into these ;) Beautifully made, very high quality, very reasonably priced, easy to fit (perfect for us non-electronic types) editable and it works.....(I`m sure there`s a LOT of sound-hungry HL RX18 based tankers out there)

We may even get instructions in English! :O

another happy user here ;-)

althoug, i changed completely the sounds, i spent a lot of time looking for 'good' sources, and 'made' my own sounds. It was fun after all!

if it please you, you can take a look here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/jussek?feature=mhee

there are also a few video test with the minicams i punt on the Tiger, they are (in the videos) mounted on top of the turret an on the driver's hatch.

now, after extensively work, they are both inside the tank, and are no longer visibles.

i created a thread in RCU about this some days ago.

best regards and congratulations for your purchase! i've said yet that i'm happy with this soundboard too? ;-)
