Been upgrading a PzIII L to a N and making use of the empty christmas sweet tins.
It's got the HL recoil in it which is smaller then the BB gun so I could make the storage bin a bit shorter.

Nice build mate , since I only relay make late war tanks so I converted mine to a Stug III with a top from Dave .I like your Schurzen . I added it to my Stug III G to making the panels removable . Not sure if the Stug and Pz.III N side Schurzens the same . But if you need any help just ask but looking at what you have done so far probably not.

Thanks
@littletankman - I'm not sure if I'm going to put the side skirts on as I tend to do a lot of off roading in my tanks.

Smart use of material on hand. Well done, nice to see you back and posting, thanks for sharing. Really like this one.Was the recoil difficult to mount? Just Curious.

I had to scratch build a bracket to mount it all, using the lugs off the airsoft unit.
It slots together and the recoil unit is secured with a tiger track pin (top hole) and a screw in each side
It all fits in the turret rather snugly
It all felt a bit loose so I added a bit of tubing (an old ariel) to each lug so now the gun doesn't wiggle about.
One thing I've learnt when scratch building stuff is that it's easy to make things look good and work properly, the hard part is doing both of those and make it servicable.
The first tank I rebuilt worked great until one day something broke and I had to tear it apart to fix it.

That's a very neat mod Woz

- ( I found out that the Jagdpanther recoil unit is a direct swop for the airsoft , available as stock

it would have saved all your effort , (sorry mate

)

Thanks
The JP recoil is longer so I wouldn't have been able to shorten the stowage bin.

Well done, seems like it is solid and should work, not much room in that turret for mistakes. Have you ever split the recoil unit? Curious as I have never seen the internal mechanics of these units?
Excellent work,Sax

Again very very neat . Were there any other changes you were tempted to do but decided against?
