I would like to get a second battery for my HL Kv1 and found one on ebay

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1-pcs-7-2V-5300m ... 992wt_1027

I'm just wondering if this battery would work on my tank ? The stock battery is NI-CD SC 2000MAH 7.2V.
Could you guys please recommend a smart charger as well ?

thanks very much.

Just be careful buying batteries from ebay I bought twice and found that they wasn't the capacity as stated.

FIrst bought a 5300mAh just like the one you linked (not same seller) and is a cracking battery but never managed to get more than 3000mAh into the battery.

Secondly bought a pair of 3800mAh but these I couldn't charge past 2000mAh

Secondly if you go for a larger capacity battery you need to upgrade your charger the HL one just won't tickle the battery. I got an Imax B6 smart charger but there are others and copies of it etc.

As for largest capacity you can use I don't think there is a limit apart from physical size and how much you can spend. I've even experimented with different voltage batteries. Found that an 8 cell 9.6v battery works fine, but currently running 7.4v LiPo batteries in my heavy metal tanks and these work great.

Hope that helps.

Ian.

If you Google Imax B6 instruction you should be able to download them. Give you something to read whilst you wait for it to arrive. As it isn't a simply plug battery in and plug charger into wall outlet. Couple of menus and things to set/change before you start. ;)

As long as its the same voltage it will work
The mh milliamps per hour just lasts longer the higher the number.
