RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

went to my parents houseyesterday, and my pop told me to bring the tank, as he'd not seen it. got there and it wouldnt start or make a sound apart from a high pitched whine. we struggled for about 20 mins to sort it then i remembered i had turned up the volume on the rotary control on the bottom of the hull. turned it back a little and it fired up straight away and ran normally. weird huh?

Ah yes its the carbon track on the pot thats got dirt damp etc into it very common on cheaply made potentiometers I am afraid.
