Hi Guys
I've just seen on eBay a chap from the far east selling a Matorro Jagdtiger. I'm assuming that this is a "newer" version ? (maybe not ). Has anybody got one of these and is it any good ? Is the chassis the correct lengthened one for the Jagdtiger? Also has anybody got any internal photos they can send to me please ? And finally (I'm not asking for much am I ?) does anybody know as to what extent the Matorro parts would be inter-changeable with the Tamiya ones ? (I know the torsion susp'n is very different on the two but I was thinking more on the road wheels , tracks, drive sprockets / idlers etc. - maybe change the tamiya motor/g'box assays over ?) . thanks in anticipation. Re: Matorro Jagdtiger
I'm not aware that there is a correct length Jagdtiger available so this is probably the one that has been around for a while based on the original matorro KT chassis with original matorro electronics and gearbox. Not sure about using Tamiya parts but I know the driveshaft 'flats' are different and would require modification or use of Tamiya sprockets with the gearbox. An alternative that I guess would work would be to use the new HengLong KT chassis as a base once spares become available. If you can live with the different length you would have something a bit different, else some fairly serious cut and shut would be required.
