Jeff,I have not dealt with remote Island,do you have a link? If so I don't mind taking a look at the tanks they offer. If I see a problem or a function issue I can give you some information. cheers Saxondog

Hi Jeff,
Not used that website so cannot comment on they service. Looking at the Tiger price is good for that version (plastic tracks, gears, etc) and postage is reasonable as a lot of places is twice that.
As a guide back in May this year I paid £60 + £10 p&p for the same basic version tiger. So about same.
As for IR version these tend to be more expensive as come with the IR plus metal barrel and barrel recoil. I've recently bought the metal barrel and recoil motor to upgrade my Tiger and it cost about £40. So if that is what your after might be better buying that version first.
Hope that helps.
Tankbear.

In answer to the initial posting in this thread we do have one Heng Long smoke/sound Tiger 1 left in stock at £74.99, this includes a free barrel extension worth £3.99, UK next day delivery £8.95.
Our UK wholesaler has just received a shipment from China but prices have increased dramatically on all models. RRP for a smoke/sound Tiger 1 for example was £79.99, now £109.99. Our current stock of Heng Long tanks will remain at our old prices until sold out. We will now delay restocking on HL tanks until the New Year with a view to finding a cheaper supplier but suspect that other wholesalers will also be increasing prices.

Cheers for that Steve, if you still have that tiger on Thursday I'd rather buy from you. If its gone I might just have to convince the Mrs I really need a jagdpanther. Lol

the price increase is possibly due tot he flooding in some parts in asia right now - my missus paid for a laptop 6 weeks ago, and she was just told yesterday that it hasnt left asia yet because of the floods.

well the dcision has been made, going to get the tank from welsh dragon, rather give the buisness to him as he is known and has great feedback. so, steve expect an order tomorrow about half four for either the tiger if it's still there, or a jagdpanther. cant wait.
