Their are several post on the running in of the gearboxes, it can be messy and other than the hassle is a good method for smoother running gear and longer life.

Oh if you are going to upgrade the best thing to get is the Asiatam hull! From welsh dragon! I've got it and it realy turns the tank into a more serous beast! Take a look it's £59.99 but is a must item !! It's got metal suspension arms with torsion beam suspension and an alloy underpan plus a quick releas so you can lift off the top harf of the tank ! To get into it!!

The other thing you may want to get is.. Truning your front room into a battle ground, as its tooo damn cold and wet out side. That tree they drag in this time of year is a good start. But those spot lights those guys have rigged on it may give you away tho

On the issue of the Asiatam Lower Hull from Welshdragon, great buy. Steve has consistently dropped the price on this hull to be more affordable as production of this piece increased, not all venders have done this. I purchased mine 2 years ago from Steve and it has never failed to perform, and it is solid, very solid. I've added weight, all kinds of metal parts until my Tiger is heavy beast @ 20lbs.
The gearboxes also purchased from Welshdragon are still working perfectly, but I DID RUN THEM IN ALOT. With new motors from Gruapner 400 race series the gearboxes just kept getting smoother and quieter using cam/valve grinding compound.
But the Asiatam hull is the real smart move,it really likes the added weight. This causes the Tiger to drive like a tank. Other have far exceeded my modifications adding better control system, and all kinds of upgrades. But for my first tank to still be running very well and has never thrown a track,or broken any part of the hull really speaks to the durability of this product.
