Well my first build here, i have 2 tanks lying around in a half finished state i do hope to find the karma to finish this one without breato long breaks in between
More or less following Oz his fantastic topic on the panzer grey painting i felt brave enough to give it a go...here come the wheels

1 black primer


2 Vallejo (very) Dark Blue Grey


3 instead of shooting away the light grey i just sprayed it around the inside of the wheels to make the grey a bit more intresting


4 the pigments i used with the brushes recomended by professor Oz only 2 colours tho maybe i should add some more


5 and the result maybe has to be toned down some more 1 base colour 2 secondary 3 brushed out


if i cant find the johnson clear thing would a gloss varnish coat do aswell before a wash?

Hard to say, the issue then becomes chemical interaction. I did complete my Tiger in Gray as you have seen in the thread,the Johnson's is sold under several names.

Also their are several pictures of TIKI available on this forum, and decals sets if you need those?

Remember when spraying the clear,low psi and a fine mist,layer the coats giving plenty of drying time. If not the pigments will pool and run. Once a coat has dried if you heat the parts with a hair-dryer the clear coat becomes soft, the varnish will then stick really well.

Drying time is very important,it was a process of several days to complete the sections. Also my Tiger is over two years old,still looks good and has not discoloured. My Jagdpanther is about a year old with some discolouring,due to heavy coats and drying to fast. Good luck

But when i pour it out in a cup it's a yellowish milky colour

tracks r in the vinigar atm gone be happy to get that scary stuff out of the way
*edit* they r out and well... i cant notice a big difference gone have to try sometin else

the red was a bit to dominant to my taste and i added a tiny bit af black pigment over the whole wheel quite happy with how they look now hope i dont mess it up with the clear
