Morning patrol

Had a quick morning patrol up Box Hill this Sunday with Rocketman, his son and a mate. Most people found us funny and asked the usual questions but we did manage to get quite a few dissapproving looks from the old wrinkly "National Trust Brigade". Well of course such a place of natural beauty isnt for oiks to play with their noisy tanks... its for people to let their dogs crap all over the place ::)

Anyway got some pics. Hopefully Rocket will add his later. Somehow we managed to miss all the dog mines ;)

Was the first good run I gave my new M41 Bulldog, and thanks to the 3300mah battery I got off these guys (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Vapextech-Batt ... d-Chargers) she was the only one of the four tanks to make it all the way around on a single battery ;D

BTW Rocketman managed to burn through 3 packs and still had to carry his ageing KT back to the car park... HO HO HO ;) Apparently its something to do with the vintage 1970's innards.

some nice pictures there crispy, mind you it looks bloody cold though, them coffin dodgers dont know how to have fun, driving youre tank around the country side is real fun, walking around it with youre thermos and blanket isnt, what you need for the dogs laying landmines, is a tracked mine sweeper ;D ;D

No one got BB'd but Rocket was a bit alarmed to find an over-scale puppy in the background of a few of his pictures. Fortunately our small force was able to repel all canine invaders with a couple of simulated rounds of AP right up the trumpet  :o

Looking good brov. That one of me on the ground looks like Im trying to breakdance :P

Like the P51 shots especially the top one. If anyones interested we're planning to meet up at Kenley airfield this coming Sunday to take some photos on the runway with Rockets WW2 war birds. We're also going to attempt some false perspective shots using a 1/6 scale jet pilot and a couple of 1/18 F104's we have. All mad tankers welcome but it'll be early to avoid the nutters (apart from us obviously ::))

Keith, would it be better to go on the Saturday and then pop into Modellers Loft afterwards?

A couple of those pics are quite brilliant, totally realistic. I might even nick one as my wallpaper!  ;D
