Buring Tigers

I just love the smell of burning tigers in the morning smells like another Heng Long Tiger 1 brewing up.
Boy I am start beginning to regret buying this,
I have a basic HenLong Tiger 1, no extras.
Finally got the track sorted. It seemed to to be running ok. (A little stiff in reverse , but nothing major). I turned off the controllor, but left the tank on to drain the 1700 battery. A little later I swopped out the battery for another 1700
and well all hell broke loose.
Headlghts began to flash and the turret began to move left to right, the tank appeared to be not accepting any commands from the controller. evenually the turret slowed (whole incident was no more than 90 seconds) , smoke began to come out of the turret area. I turned the tank off, by now smoke was also comming fron the rear of the tank, close to where it would of been coming out, it it had a smoke unit. Also the smoke now had more than a hint of burning plastic, to the original tone of burning electronics.

I left he tank for a few hours and tried again. Tank works and fires , no more smoke, but the turret will not rotate now. Any ideas ?

Remove the top to identify the problem.

Could be turret motor burnt out or the electronics controlling it. Or simply loose connection but since the smoke and smell of burning I doubt it be a loose connection.

I bought a faulty Tiger off ebay which turret wouldn't turn, turned out the motor had gone, replaced that to find the RX18 had also burnt out trying to power it.
