When you replace the PZIV with metal up grades such as tracks, front Drive wheels/sprockets and idlers you should ideally fit track tensioners to the rear idlers. Replacing the rear plastic idlers with metal ones and track tensioners is straight forward to seasoned RC modelers, but if your a newbie to this, it can be tricky to do and its easy to screw it up. ( No pun intended )

This is the type of track tensioner Im on about http://www.rctank.de/product_info.php?c ... cts_id=633" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I replaced my PZIV idlers and fitted track tensioners and it was time consuming. you have to drill out the plastic idler mounting points through the Hull/Chassis to fit the tensioners and you have to get it just right. I dont want to put you off, just make you aware of the pittfalls. If you look at the 3rd and 4th picture down on my PZIV conversion you can see the metal idlers and how they are mounted through the rear at the back of the hull. http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... ind#p68357" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cheers

STEINER.

Note; be careful when tightening the adjusters. Its all to easy to snap the screw thread off the shaft when tightening, as they are of cast metal so have lower tensile strength than normal bolts. I have a Pz 4 in the maintenance dept waiting for a repair due to an over zealous turn of the spanner. lol.
