I promised to show sum pics of my HL Panzer Tiger build so here is what I have so far.

I used a .40 mil optic inside the tanks existing mini gun along with some brass und aluminum tubing.

I removed the battery housing to make more room a speaker box ( not built yet ) and what
other goodies that may be added. The battery door and its locking tab are now glued permanently in place. No more reasons to turn the tank over the power und volume controls will be under the Loaders hatch. I plan to make it so the tank is dirt and dust free inside as possible.

QUESTION: Will I still need the HL receiver circuit board with the new RX-18 system?

Looking good Fritz - That's a very neat job you've done removing the battery box , well done - Mmmm , you are gonna need a bigger workbench though and yes , you still need an receiver board (the crystal type ) for the RX 18 . What gearboxes have you got ?

I'm starting off with the Heng Long zinc metal gears.....I'm on a budget right now and I got both sets for only 22.00 USD...not too bad. Its funny....before I removed the nylon gear sets from the chassis with one finger I would compare the Nylon vs the metal and with motors attached the metal gears were much easier to turn...way less friction....The tracks were removed.

The Idler wheels will have 5mm X 10MM bearings in them with independent spring tension system...I figure its gotta save on the tracks and drive system.
