This was going to be a Winter project and something of a surprise for me. However, As I have the Paypal account, the wee lassy had to get me to order it, which gave me time to marshal my forces and slip this one into the model schedule ahead of time.

Being a secret Allo-Allo fan, I've always liked Lt. Gruber's 'Little Tank' and think that the 222/223 was a very unique looking vehicle.

I've been having great fun with this kit though I do have a few caveats for those thinking about one:

1: This is clearly a garage kit - not made tight tolerances - and requires a great deal of consideration at all stages. most of you will know this, of course. O only add it as remonstration against my own haste and what it cost me.

2: Which brings me to screws. I should have checked these out before I tried them. In this case (possibly just in the case of my own model though) XION seem to have used ****-poor steel as well over half of them simply sheared off at the head when being driven in - both in pot-metal and in plastic. This necessitated some careful drilling and extraction. Thankfully, XION have used standard size screws throughout and it cost only a few thousand yen to replace the iffy screws with more reliable ones from the model centre. Be warned. :)
