New guy from Seattle

What a cool place with lots a great articles! Thanx! 8O

Started life as a military builder for years then went to Sci-Fi custom builds with lighting.

http://troyenlow.weebly.com/

Well...it all started about three months ago when I scored a 2nd generation HL early Tiger 1 on CraigsList in the box with all accessories, barely used ...even the BB's and smoke oil were still sealed. 50.00! not bad huh? Works great.

Well now its time for the ol' re haul. Thinking about Afrika Corps colours and some other mods like:
1. RX-18
2. Tamiya recoil unit.
3. A small sub woffer speaker ( taken from a desck top speaker system ) sounds awesome by the way....I know....later down the road an El-mod or brier sound will need to be added.
4. Female Komodant ...Verlinden's 120mm Elsa of Berlin.. ha....minus the eye brows ...ee gads!
5. Custom bearings and spring tension design for the rear Idler wheels....figure its got to take some load off the tracks and the main driver system.

Those among some other changes.

So far I have custom built a mini gun with an .40 mil Fiber optic.

Picked up some metal HL upgrade gears.

Removed the factory antenna and will use a longer wrapped lead around the
inner circumference of the tanks interior.

I cut out the battery box, glued the battery door and its spring clip lock in place
so to make more room inside ( mainly for the custom speaker box ) and the tanks top section will lock in place from the front and super strong mini magnets will do the rest. The power switch and the volume control will be in the loaders hatch where there bb action power switch was. No more turning the tank over for any reason.

Also making it so the inside stays dirt and dust free as possible.

Pics to come and thats about it!

Hello Herr Fritz,
Welcome to the Forum  I am looking forward to seeing some photographs of your Tiger, with a female commander !! It is almost certainly the most popular tank and by a long way, so there will be plenty of support and knowledge available, just use the search box located in the top right hand corner of the main Forum banner or ask a question and you can be sure that someone will shortly be along to help you out.

Wunderba! unf Danke! This is indeed the most friendly of the RC Tank forums!

I get a feeling that some types get to serious about the craft und tend to suck the 'fun' out
of the hobby.

I feel welcome.....Thank you! :)

Trying to get away from rivet counting and put a bit of fun into modelling. Starting a new Space Marine Chapter. Bit of a theme running through it. Will have fun with characters. Just started this project.
