I was wondering how to moderately waterproof my heng long tiger. i wont be submerging it in rivers or anything, just wanted to drive it in an inch or 2 of snow this winter. is there any easy (free) way to do this? Thanks.

Hi drw814,
If you are just driving in solid snow then there is not really a problem...BUT..keep an eye on the wheels and tracks as the snow can get packed in there and throw a track...But once you have finished with the tank, blow and brush all the snow out use papertowels to soak up any water inside/ outside the hull and then put it somewhere warm to be sure it is dry.....to waterproof the tank is a TOTALLY different matter.
Water can get in through all the suspension arm travel stops.....So I would suggest that you might have to 'Tank' the tank so as to speak. Possibly 'build' a plasticard wall along each side just inside of the suspension mounts, that extends from front to back and glue it in place. But if you do get water in side this protected area you will have to be very careful about drying it properly or the suspension 'coil-springs' will probably get rusty.
I expect that other people have 'Waterproofed' their tanks, quite successfully and can give you more advice but personally I would give water a miss completely .

Hi I started this but abandonend it . I built sections up around the areas were the suspension arms and springs are and sealed them , then put a fire wall between were the drive sprockets go through the body and the electronics . I then waterproofed the axels, the battery lid was sealed to the bottom and all the switches put inside and the holes sealed . I left at this point . But I planed on cutting the square top section of the top and fixing the lower tub part to the bottom and sealing it . Then the lower half should be reasonably water proof , although all the holes need to be sealed around the exhausts to.
