Anyone got a WSN branded tank or have any comments on them?
Thinking of a Russian T-34/85 as my next tank, well have to keep those two Tigers I have on they toes.

But haven't been able to find another manufacturer which does the model.
Plus not certain about upgrades, only managed to see metal track upgrade.

Hi there the WSN T34 is the only one you can get in this scale you can upgrade the electronics with heng long or elmod if you have the money the gearboxes can be upgraded as well the detail on it is quite good hope this helps.

Cheers Stevie,
When you say the gearboxes can be upgrade, is there a specific brand for the WSn models i.e. Asiatam & Mato for Heng Long or is it a case buy the gearbox and make it fit.

Very little in the way of upgrades as it is not a very popular tank. Metal tracks are available, as are metal gears (just the gears not the boxes) most UK retailers don't stock the gear kit upgrade.

If you want to fit Tam/HL/Mato gearboxes then you have to get the WSN metal gear upgrades and do a bit of chopping.

That's some chopping there.
Not knowing how good the original gearbox is, is gearbox upgrade a must like on the HL? I've seen a video of the WSN going what looks like a 45 degree slope with total ease, surely must be good torque to be able to do that.
Also i'm likley to be using outside on the grass, so are the metal tracks upgrade required or the standard plastic ok?

The problem with the WSN gearboxes is that the gears are contained in a plastic box. The plastic holes soon wear out and the gears start skipping.
I was given a T-34 because it was broke (skipping gears) and I fixed it by adding thin metal strips (cut from a biscuit tin) along the edges of the gearboxes where they hold the the gears in.
The platsic tracks are fine, I've just fitted metal ones because I think they look better and make the tank drive more realistic (it drives through grass and not over it).

From what i have seen of these tanks..They seem to be on a power /or slightly lower than hl.
It seems most people tend to fit Hl rx18 to it,then all the chopping that is needed to get things to fit.On top of that the upgrades are hard to find.
You might just as well scratch build a new lower hull and fit what top equipment you want. or stick with the Hl and upgrade them.

Rember vids can be misleading unless you can see it in the flesh so to speak.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Suppose could get it (have to figure a way to smuggle into the collection as the mrs has banned me from getting any more tanks

)
Run it for a while, if not too good use the shell, some upgraded parts with Elmod or SLU unit.
