any british rtr 1/16 scale out there
I'm new to the hobby but I've noticed mainly german, russian and US tanks on the market. I know that the british produced sub standard armour for most of the war but where are the models. Matilda, Crusader, Churchill or Comet. Churchill especially with all its variations.

Unfortunately the kit makers don't do British, they probably feel theres not a big enough market for them, there are some scratch builds around though.
Hey man....I just ride 'em, I dunno what makes 'em work.

As Sparks has already said they don't make british sad but true..How ever Armortek do a nice 1:6 Comet, granted a few £__ more than your average Hl tank
. But still a very nice model.

I think the only practical step (if you are pushed for cash) is a lend/lease Sherman.
Don't mock...
The right paint-job and correct markings and a Tamiya M4(105) becomes a nice little Sherman IB of the 9th Queen's Royal Lancers.
Or, if you are really ambitious....... Firefly!

Hi They have said it all ,there isnt any apart from the Shermans,Both need modifiing one way or another to make a British tank that was commonly used,You have the Tamiya or the Mato Sherman, they did have the Tamiya in British service as is but not many of them. Most of the Shermans used by the British had 75mm guns and VVSS suspension or when we converted them to the Firefly.
The Mato Sherman has the VVSS suspension cast hull but the turret is better to change that for the Tamiya turret and fit a 75mm gun, this model made up alot of the British tanks.

For myself, I would prefer a Churchill. I don't know why but I'll always felt it it THE iconic British tank.
