Hi Chaps

Just to prove that I have not totally deserted the ranks of 1/16 for the big stuff, I`ve just invested in a rather stunning Torro King Tiger Professional Metal Edition, in two tone yellow/dark green cammo with IR battle system!

The tank is 90 percent metal (more metal than my old Tamiya KT), and comes with a much better level of detail - i.e. proper handrails on hatches, periscopes etc. than my old Tamiya KT, and is considerably heavier to at 18kg

Even comes in it`s own wooden transport case - nice

Also bought a very nice Panzer IV Ausf F1 in weathered DAK paint scheme with BB cannon (I know, but just admit that a tank firing BBs is fun - deep down you want to )

Anyhoo, till we meet again keep yer powder dry and yer flints sharp

From my old mate Kin at Tankzone, he`s got 10 coming in, some of which are already on pre-ordrer (inc. mine )

So if you want one...

There going for £499.00, still a lot cheaper than a Tamiya KT with all the upgrades you need to get it looking right

What `o chaps

The new Matorro Professional Metal Edition KT arrived, and I have to say I am mightly impressed

Metal hull, gearboxes, wheels, sprockets, idlers, suspension arms, tracks, turret, periscopes, gun barrel, muzzle brake, bow MG (working), headlight (working), hatches, (which all work ), tools, hand rails, engine grills, engine exhausts & armoured exhaust covers - really is 90 percent metal

The smoke genny is also the best I have yet seen on any of my tanks, including the 1/6 Stuart - and due to its weight - approx 18kg, a really good outdoors tank

No issues with power either, on long or short grass, proper little steam roller.

So in a nutshell, a far better tank detail wise than my old Tamiya KT, more metal, on/off switch in a sensible & accesable place plus the track tensioning system a much better design also (same as my Tamiya Panther).

Only thing the Tamiya has over this model is a better sound system - I think Tamiya should be worried by this one

WEHRMACHT GENERAL ORDER #01 Detailed pictured or all new issued equipment that other units may be jealous over. So post pictures or face the Gestapo beating squads. And don't be scimpy, the more pics the less time on the EASTERN FRONT.

I will take some photo`s today and have a go at posting them

Might take me a while though as they will be stored on my PC and I can`t seem to post stuff from here, so may need some friendly suggestions as to how
