Spektrum DX7

Post by mic heinrich »

I'm going in circles :'( I got hold of a DX7SE but unfortunatly it didn't have a three way flap switch, however it did bind to the cheap orange receivers and, with ModelMatch, ran all tanks independently So now I'm on the right track........I just need to find out if the 3 way flap switch on the DX7(ch6) will operate both lights and ignition on my El-mod eco boards and then which switch is used for user defined sounds?????
Someone out there must have played around with a Spektrum DX7 and El-mod?

Pleeeeaaaase help me :problem:

Embarassed, the SE does have a 3 way switch but it is named flight mode not flap mix. Yes the 3 way works for ignition and lights and the gear switch operates 1 user defined sound. Just need to find out if I can map more than 1 user sound?

with either the Elmod or the tamiya. Does anyone know if the Dx7 will work with the Tamiya Dmd?

Hi caddyshack,
I'm slowly getting there with trial and error but so far the DX7 looks all good. Don't know too much about tamiya but from what I have read on the forums the digital trims on the DX7 are not compatable with the tamiya setup?

thats a bit strange as the dx6 & dx5 are classed as park radio's..were as the dx7 is a full range set as is the Jr set as they use and will bind each others receivers.

As for digital trims the dx6 has them as well..so if thats true don't know why one would work and not the other.

just a update..

I have used my Dx7 on my tamyia..all works fine..either mode plane or heli.

After a few mixes i had the gun firing with out the need to adjust the digital trims, slow movement up would raise the main gun..with a fast up to fire it..

Hi I have a DX6I ,which works with the Tamiya DMD no problems at all,it also works the orange recievers,Can set it up to fire without trims using the stick up to fire main gun down to fire M.G.But you can also set it to fire guns using switches if you want buy mixing the channels.
They are not the cheapest to buy but they are very good range is no problem the tank will go farther than you can drive it have had mine out to 100mtrs it was so small hard to see.

regards pete
