Hi guys,
Hopefully your collective expertise will point me in the right direction.
I have, waiting to be installed in my HL Tiger, an Elmod Think Tank Eco. I intend to run it with my trusty Spektrumised JRX-3810 with a spare 6 channel Orange Rx I have . I've only flown RC helis and, obviously, I dont want the Tx in heli mode because of the mixes. I've been playing around and airplane mode seems to, according to the stick monitor screen, give me the control I will be wanting. I'm putting throttle and steering on the left stick, turret and gun on the right, so it isn't too confusing when I switch over to a heli. My question is will it work on airplane mode?
The obvious answer seems to be try it and see but some input would be very appreciated.

Airplane mode works. See below.

• Airplane to tank term translation:
rudder = turret rotation
throttle = throttle
elevator = gun elevation / gun firing
aileron = steering

• For right stick steering, throttle & turning tank setup, use:
rudder = ch 1
throttle = ch 2
gun = ch 3
turret = ch 4

• For left stick steering, throttle & turning tank setup, use:
rudder = ch 4
throttle = ch 3
gun = ch 2
turret = ch 1
