http://www.f1hobbies.com/shop.php?id=3216&level=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
With out taking my tiger to bits again, can anyway tell me where does the flash go? guessing the airsoft unit but is it a straight forward fit or does it require some modification?

1, The flash unit is triggered by a microswitch , the bulb goes up the barrel of the recoiling version ( non BB ) .
2 , this is a just the standard Airsoft gun , this is misquoted as a recoil equiped type , it's the 'ol sound / track jerk only .

Might get the flash unit anyway and try make it work. Not certain if the airsoft in my tank already has a micro switch. It has a cable pair which plugs into the RX18 board and isn't connected to the motor so reading between the lines i think it is.

Hi Blimp.
Checked and there is a micro switch there which plugs into the CN3 (right 2 pins) on the rx18 board.
Wil post some pictures when I get off phone and upload.

Going by this Diagram , it's the gun sound & track recoil function (i.e. the 'K' button on the TX) now triggered by that microswitch on the Airsoft/recoil unit ( left up stick)
The 7 volts that the BB/recoil motors use would blow the flash units chip , so that uses the 4.5 volt feed , taken from the IR battle circuit sockets - see top right .
