Hi All,
As a complete novice to this hobby and still tankless I hope to rectify this by buying a HL Tiger 1(surprise surprise)then modding it! I'll have to buy it because I don't think I can wait for Santa to bring one (I keep telling my wife "I will grow up one day").A question I have though is, what is the difference between the colours of the b
boxes some are white and some are blue ?
Also I would like to thank everybody who welcomed me ! CHEERS!!!

Hi Oscar,
I have no idea what the difference is between the white and blue BB boxes are ....BUT....if they come with the Heng Long Tiger Do NOT use them!!! They are not very well made and have in the past been known to damage the rubber seal in the airsoft gun. You would do much better to buy a container of 'Precision Ground' BB pellets from a separate source. Probably best to look on Ebay or your local hobby store. Just make sure that they are precision ground and of good quality.

I agree. Normally when I get a new airsoft gun I throw the free BBs in the bin before leaving the shop. The tend to be slightly irregular. Get a bag of good quality BBs from an airsoft shop. They ar cheap and remember once fired you must not re- use BBs
If you mean the difference between the boxes the tanks come in I believe the blue box Tiger 1 is non smoke and sound and the white is smoke and sound. Ask forgebear for advice if this is what you mean. He will know. Real men never grow up.

Hi Oscar , I have the 'blue' one , it is the basic BB version . - Have you checked out fleabay ? you can get a used decent Tiger , often with extras thrown in , for the price of a standard oob one that costs much more to upgrade later ( and you'll want to , i promise )

The white gun has a limit switch installed to work as a signal for the recoil or jumping tank function.I have two coming to test and review on this forum. Possibly this gun is better, but I don't think it will last,to much plastic and to little strength.
What is needed is a good system, that is fun yet easy to maintain. 80FPS would be great if it was dependable and silent. The present guns sound like an old alarm clock.

Hi Oscar.
I bought a tiger 1 last month for £59 + £9 P&P also seen same model on ebay for £50 + postage to give you an idea of price.
I would recommend getting a pro version which comes with metal tracks and gearbox, I've seen them from £100 + postage as metal tracks& drive wheels are £40+ and same again for gearbox so value wise it works out better.
