Already thinking of purchasing another tank.

Probably be another HL for the price. But before I decide is there any reason to stay away from a particular model as maybe problematic or difficult to get upgrade parts.

At moment I’m thinking of the Panther G pro version as comes with the metal running gear, then upgrading the hull.

Yes go for the Panther,G or Jagd Panther loads of upgrades for them ...Brian

Panther, or Jagdpanther is a gear choice. Id recomend the asiatam 3:1 boxes , theyre the most solid tus ive seen and the only Ive not managed to break! The motors will actually burn out before these babys break! As to upgrading the hull, as far as I know theres no metal hull a'la the asiatam tiger hulll!

I'd just like to throw in there, just encase you didn't already know that if your going to buy a HL Panther, to make sure its the new one, not the old pantiger! a while back somebody on ebay i believe was selling "Panthers" with a pic of the new one and then shipping pantigers to get rid of old stock, don't quote me on that though but it's still better to make sure, better safe than sorry!

Nitrotek were doing it & they turned up elsewhere using a different name but same trick. And you can quote me on that !

Avoid the Pantiger like the plague. Unless it is really cheap and you want to strip it for parts.

Read something about the early panther basically using the tiger hull and running gear. So how do I know if the one i'm after is a new or old version? did HL change product number or something.

Chances are if I ask the retailer he won't know.

But as is a special edition I probably wouldn't want to use it in case a damaged it.

That is a great example of a Panther G. They are quite robust so don't worry about damaging it. I would buy that myself but I have one already and I am looking to get a British Cromwell.
