:D Hi Guys!

I've been a member of the forum for a while now but this is my first time actually introducing myself. I love modelling but mostly aircraft. I've been looking on armor modelling for a long time but never git myself into it. I use to do RC cars before but it got too expensive so I have to let that go. Recently a I've been playing World Of Tanks and somehow RC Tanking's been popping on my mind a lot more than I want to :{ ;D . So Iv'e been doing my research, I knew about 1/16 tanks for a long time and the price is a bit to steep for me. I see that Heng Long being a cheap alternative but if you want it to be compatible with the Tamiya battle system you're better of buying a Tamiya or any Higher end models. Not to mention that 1/16 scale is really a space hoarder.

That's where 1/35 scale come to mind, Ive been looking around and saw http://35rctank.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I like the idea of 1/35 model grade RC tanks and it's not as expensive as 1/16 scale not to mention the uhhh I guess the cuteness of the tanks on this scale :{ :haha: . The only down side on this scale is there's no IR functionality, so no tank battles for that scale. That's until Tamiya came with this http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.p ... t-id=48209 now we're talking! Now as a FNG, my question is. Is this worth it? does anybody here on this forum has one? This could be the first armor model that I'll buy that I might really enjoy. So any suggestions will be Welcome. Thanks!

I had the Tamiya 1/35 scale RC King Tiger and I found that the cost at nearly £100 did not provide good value for money. I used the electronics in a 1/25 scale Panther A which I still have (in the loft) Value for money wise I think Heng Long are a far better option in 1/16 scale. They ride better especially with metal tracks etc, 1/35 scale almost disappears in the garden and doesn't have the weight to plough along realistically.

Hi cisco_245,
Welcome to the forum  (even though you've been here a while)
I would say that at that price its not that cheap, considering what you can get the Heng Long 1/16 tanks at, and I agree with magmer that they won't have the weight to move realisticaly over rougher terrain. The only plus is the space saving.

Hi Welcome to the forum ,Just a point you can fit a Tamiya compatable Battle system to the Heng long long tanks ,Cost of system depends on whether you can solder a circuit board together,if you can they cost around 60$ if you cant solder its about double the cost.If your interested just post and ask how to do it.

regards pete
