Hello people,

Quick question.......again!

How much weight, ie metal parts can you put on a tiger 1 before you resort to bigger motors,
batteries and heavy duty gearboxes?
Basically if you're replacing hatches, barrel, tracks, suspension, wheels etc, but not using metal hull or top can you get away without using brass gearboxes, tensioners and drive shaft bushes or is it just a question of how far you want to go or spend?

There you go, think thats all for now
Oh, what primer do you use for metal parts?
Right i've finished, definitely, for today......... :silent:
Cheers guys

Hi You can get away with standard metal Gearboxes,they are a little fast.But will work fine with the mods your planning.
I would change them for 3to1 gears, as soon as you can they do make it run better(more scale speed).You will need metal suspension arms and hull re-enforcement strip, that goes down the inside of the hull to stiffen the the suspension up and stop the hull flexing.You dont need a Tensioner right off just need to get the number of links right(dont be supprised if you have one more in one side I think its 92 or 93).Would fit them if and when you do the gearboxes.
Basicly you can spend and spend it all depends on what you want to do If your going to put it on a shelf and look at it but run it every now and then you can detail it add loads of extras.If your going to run it for battling then leave off the detail and go for better gears, tensioner, metal suspension arms,Basicly anything that will make it run better.
Decide what you want If you want to go battling and run it in the ruff First check out how much it would cost for the asiatam hull see here http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/asia ... -512-p.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Now add up the cost of all the parts to upgrade your hull,supension arms and support strip cost about 20 pounds see here http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/tiger-1-53-c.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Tensioners are about another 20 pounds.
