US Marines armor colors

I have a vague recollection that US Marines painted thier tanks a green shade and not Olive drab,I believe from WW2 until late 70's when various 3 and 4 color camo became the norm in US forces,does anyone know about this,I'm redoing my Tamiya Pershing as USMC Korea 1950's,if there is a USMC green what would be a good humbrol number or does anyone have an FS number,thanks
