Hi has anyone got any experience with fitting the tamiya battle unit into the leopard 2 a6 with the o7 dmd unit? the battle system comes with instructions for the tiger and there is a test mode facility on the tiger dmd they say you can fire at a white wall to test the unit, there is no capability on the leopard to do this i tried just firing at the wall and a piece of paper and even a mirror to try to test the unit,is it possible to test it this way? i cant get it to work and as i have nobody with another tank with the battle unit im a bit stuffed, also do the lighting mode need to be lit red in battle lighting mode for the system to work or should it work as soon as the reciever is plugged in to the turret? hope someone can help, thanks,Greeny

sorry i dont have the experience of fitting it, but i have heard that you can test the battle system by firing it into a remote that can remember signals eg from another tv remote, then you should be able to fire it back at the tank.
not absolutely sure that i will work, but i spose its worth a try if you have one,
cheers,
matt

hi thanks mat i will look into that another guy on here WibblyWobbly lives across the road and he is waiting for his elmod gear to be returned from germany so if all else fails i wil wait til he is up and running with his battle system and test it then i believe the elmod is compatable with tamiya, cheers Greeny

...and of course the elmod has a test mode and works straight off a tv remote!

...and of course it worked as soon as I plugged it in.

...and of course the superior Tiger 1 can render the puny Leopard to a heap of rusting metal within seconds.
Waiting for some pleasant weather on my patio so that I can give him at least a chance of getting a shot in.... ::)
