King Tiger Turret.

I have just bought an old Tamiya King Tiger off ebay and I am looking to restore it to a Full Option model. I also have a Trumpeter Henschel King Tiger with spare turret and upper hull.
This may be an optical illusion but when I compare the two turrets the Tamiya one looks too large and I was wondering if this was perhaps to accommodate the mechanisms for the gun barrel recoil and elevation. As the trumpeter one has a lot more detail I am in two minds to swap it over and use that. Does anyone know if the Tamiya turret is correct or am I better off converting the Trumpeter one?
