hi guys, me and rob(fv432) were talking, and we thought it would be a good idea to send our boys fighting in iraq & afghanistan our best wishes and christmas greetings from us all on the forum, i think they are doing a great job for us all and i think its the least we can do, so, if you guys want to post a message of support for them this is the place to post it, the more posts the better, i'm sure i'm not the only one on the forum who would like to let them know we think they are doing a worth while job, and are thinking of them at this time of the year. we will try and send a link to this post over to them, to show our support
Tony

hey tony,
i think this is a great idea, all the hard work they are putting in for our country, and in doing so putting thier lives on the line, truely is something that takes courage, good will and many other aspects that many of us aspire to have.
so from me, I wish you to make the best christmas you can for yourselves guys, and a very merry one at that!

and lets hope that the new year can bring you home safe
well done, again, and thankyou very much.
Matt

Hello to all,
I also want to thank all the troops from all the country's taking part in trying to bring freedom to the people of Iraq and Afghanistan so they may have the opertunity to live as free people.Lets all hope this will get worked out very soon and that most of our troops will be able to come back home as soon as possible.I just picked up my oldest grand-daughter at the airport this morning and her new husband will be flying from Alaska to join us over the christmas holliday on saturday. He is an Army paratrooper curently doing training in Alaska in preperation to go to Afghanistan in March,so this is a very personel thing for me and my family.
Thanks again Guys & Gals, our thoughts will be with you. BIGMIG

A number of the kids I grew up with are / were in the forces, as were some of my past and present co-workers - I don't agree with some the the decisions that the UK/US Goverment made over the last few years, but I'm every bit as proud and supportive of our servicemen and women as I am of my Grandparents part in the downfall of the Nazi's.
Here's hoping they all stay safe and make it home in one peice - and those that didn't have not died in vain...
Cheer's!

i spent 18 yrs in HM forces and only one Christmas at home with my family, it really makes a difference when somebody says merry Christmas to you it makes things seem better and that you are not forgotten, my grandad also ex para used to send me a card wherever i was and ended it with keep your stomach full your weapon clean and your boots dry and things will be OK, he was right" merry Christmas and a happy new year to all our forces whoever or wherever you are...............tony
