Its almost 2 years since Tony Tiger 205 died very prematurely at the age of 45. Now I never met the guy but had many a chat on here and he came across as a nice genuine guy willing to help others who had the same interests in this hobby of ours. I had a neighbour who died a few weeks ago suddenly at the age of 45 and I can see what a impact it has on the the loved ones left behind after something tragic like this happens and our thoughts are with his wife Allison and the girls at this sad aniversary. Tony I will raise a glass in your memory this weekend mate in your memory god bless.

Me too,I did not know him very well, just on here. We had spoken about the excellent DMK Bismarck as I was building the Tirpitz. He did a fine job which is a testament to his skill. Really a gifted man, and it is somehow odd to think it has been two years. Should we reach out to Alison in some way?

Perhaps a few pictures in a post as a reflection of his work and his influence on many here, the forum is a comfort to so many of us,a place to relax and forget the crap in the world. Their were many things I wanted to ask Tony, so perhaps a thread set aside to say the things we never got a chance to say would some how make it seem like he is remembered more than just a few days but always.

Perhaps I am to sentimental, but by remembering the people we have lost might make it easier to be thankful for the time we have.
