HL Tiger first problem - back to the shop

Bought a HL Tiger couple of weeks ago - 1st chance to use it and hit a problem.
The left hand lead drive wheel with sprockets (sorry don't know the technical term) has come off of it's shaft.
I pushed it back on thinking it might suffice only for it to come off again.
I held the part in my hand and it appears to have a retaining nut within which rattles when shaken.
I thought about trying to prize the part open and re-attach the but and then the outer half of the sprocket piece but decided against it.
Model Zone say they will replace the tank but it's a 1.5 hour round trip and about 100 mile round trip = £20 in petrol (3 litre petrol engine) so I don't know whether to exchange or buy a new part myself and repair.
I'm thinking about just asking for a refund as not particulary impressed with build quality.
Any thoughts/ advice?

See if you can use something to push the cap from the drive sprocket through the shaft hole then just bolt it back on. I've had the same problem and it soon sorted it this way without taking it back.

You might ask if you can ship it if they will refund the shipping cost?
Just an idea.
My Jagdpanther, 1 of the idler wheels falls off, it has a loose screw which rattles about inside. It was a tiny phillips. (identified by touch)
I put loctite on the the threads and screwed it on.
Really one of the wheels should have a reverse thread. If that was my push bike one of my pedals would have fallen off.
That may give you some ideas.

Thanks gunshy I didn't realise that there was a hub cap, that link had a final sequence of pictures that were spot on. I have removed and screwed the little bolt back in - all working fine.
Aren't forums a wonderful thing just saved myself £20 and a whole load of aggro.

If the allen bolt keeps backing out ( not unusual ) put a spot of blue loctite on the thread, do it up and leave it for 24 hours. A problem i find with the shafts on the gearboxes is the hole the allen screw bolts into sometimes isnt threaded deep enough ie the hole can be 8mm deep but the threads are only 4mm. If you do use loctite don't get any on the plastic.

Thanks - what happens if I decide to put on metal parts - how would I remove the wheel?

I think you would be ok, i bought and used the blue loctite because it said that you can use it and still undo whatever it's used on using your normal tools, i think the red loctite is permanent fixing and non reworkable
