Saw this just outside of Cheadle in Staffordshire on My way to Alton Towers This afternoon, obviously a Sherman but with wooden and rubber tracks and weird drive sprocket etc etc. Check out the pics. Any one know anything about this ?? Is it part origional, part home made ? maybe a film prop? I dont know anything about it but would love to know. To anyone who knows this part of the world it is in the Les Oakes house

Hi Jimbo
Not too far from you. I live down the road in Bucknall. You recon this tank is a film prop then ?

I would say its a film prop, probably for shots where it was used in the distance or where the lower part was'nt to visable,
ive never seen a real tank with a steering wheel like that lol
although the turret does look a lot more sturdy (maybe a real turret)!
any more pics ?
