Help please with what type of remote control handset

Hi all, can anyone tell me why 1 off my 1.16 heng long tanks hand remote has crystals, BUT my other tank hand remote has a - ABC switch, and can they be cross used with each other, thanks, Malc....

the one with the abc switch is for the older hl tanks , the newer ones with smoke and sound use the crystals and no i dont think they are interchangable
