rogue wire

Hi all  I was running my Tiger outside and all of a sudden it slowed down on the right track.

I guessed it was the battery so put it on charge, while takeing the battery out the right front hatch fell open and the wire going to the m/ gun was severed, :O I got a small torch and that revealed that the cable is wrapped around the gearbox gears. :wtf:

I have just brought the metal hull from Welsh Dragon (they are still on offer) so I have a good reason to strip it and repair the cable :haha:

So if your Tiger slows down look under the hatch, it might just be that.

Hi Andy
Thanks for letting us know what to look out for  wires if not held secure can give a lot of problems as I've found out my self :{ .

Hi all
I have cracked on today and got most of the hull transfer done, I said on the post above that the m/c gun wire had gone into the drive gears on the gearbox but it had'nt. :S but one gearbox is definatly running slow(they are the HL white metal boxes.)
The tx18 board has a big melted hole by the smoker plug :wtf: :wtf: . The lights had not been working for a while and obviously the smoker was'nt either.

I am going to replace the TX board but the gear box issue I am not sure about, there dose not appear to be anything around the gearboxs but one is running on when coming of the power and the slow one stops dead. Strangly, when I turn them via the drive cog( no tracks on at the mo) they are both pretty free.

Any clues any one???

Cheers for now, Andy T

I know when my Tiger is on blocks for testing one track runs at a much slower speed. Ever think it might be worth upgrading to Elmod now that the RX18 is dying. It could be done in stages.
