Hello fellow tank-o-holics! I recently acquired a T-34 that was sold on ebay. Brand new in the box! Of course I had to tear it apart right away. I am planning to install Tamiya Pershing TU's in it and I am thinking about trying to also use the pershing'd outdrives in this tank. Still in the planning stages right now. So far I have added welds and texture to the turret and hull and made the turret hatch functional I also made a brake light and housing for it.... I then applied a coat of pait to it. So far so good. But, I'll let you guys be the judge.

Nice details, will be watching this build as my knowledge of Russian tanks is very limited, Saxondog

Thank you Sax! I have been wanting a T-34 for a long time and I finally have it. I am workingon a designation for it and also getting some hardware from Daryl Turner and tamiya. It should be nice when it's finished...

Nice start, wish I had made the surfaces textured like that. How the hell did you cut out the cupola hinges?? I spent ages and couldnt do it, gave up in the end and just made the hatch into permenant open position.
Cheers, Dave

I tortured myself for about 3 hours with a roll of thread and a lot of beer..

I got a few stencils and decided to have a go at the turret slogan and number, so here is the result.
The slogan translates "For Stalin"

Here's a couple shots after a filter was applied. It made the detail pop out alot more.

I haven't done much with the T-34 as I am in need of Pershing gearboxes and some parts from Daryl. I did manage to make the hull maching gun functional though...I still have to get bearings in all the wheels and a mess of other stuff done. It will probably be on old until after I get the KV-1 finished though...

Excellent job,I too like the cast texture look and the slogan is a nice touch. The paintwork looks good and the darker hull lines fading through seems to give the tank a realistic look, more like metal than plastic. The white lettering has that crewmen painted on look, not strictly rigid but light over-spray adding to the crew applied look.Makes me want a T34/85. Really like your tank.
