Save your hard earned ,dear trackheads , just get some Thin solder (or anneal some copper wire) thee squishes with a pair of fine nosed pliers - and Wallah ! Image you can even drill a likkle hole for a bit of the 'stud' if thats your thang . a whiff of a file , snippetty snip - sorted . and much cheapness to boot :D u likey ?

They I made some wing nuts for my tiger tank turret vent was to get a 1.2mm bolt clamp the thread end in a vice and file two sides of the hex nut down then file a slit in the middle! :P not as cheap as your idea but if you have some small bolts hanging around worth trying!

ha ha done the solder wing nut and threaded it it wont take much so strip it but ity can be done
