Me too, I'm stumped as to how to make this work (and not only on the SU either!)

how about using a similar set up to the Jagdpanther, I know the gun on the SU is more offset to one side then the Jagdpanther's
it is only an idea so please don't shoot me LOL

I'm sure we've had this debate already and I was told it didn't fit(?)
I'm still searching for an industrial gimbal type thingy to mount the gun - that would solve my Sturmpanzer IV gun mount as well...
Any suggestions folks? please? :-\

Hi here is a picture of the underside of the upper hull of my Jagpanther, with a ruler showing the width to help you to see if it can be done with tamiya parts

Dont worry brel all weapons "safe" Im trying for a "yoke" with the primary traverse then mount the elevation on that, when i get the chance will post rough plans

Just a suggestion, so don't slaughter me if it isn't practical or you have tried it already.
How about replicating the simple method that HL and other
manufacturers use for mounting the hull MG.
Cheers
