Hi all,
Has anyone done this conversion ?
http://www.fragarmor.org/Advanced%20Hints%203.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have done it in the past on Skysport 4's with great success.
Allthough I'm an electrician, I know very little about electronics, so my question is...
Can this be done with digital trims ? Specifically on the Futaba 7C which I am using for my latest Tamiya project, any info would be welcome.

I'm using a 7c also. I want to change the rotay knob to a twelve position switch to work the sounds from benedini sound unit. There are some guides for this on the Armortek forum. I do'nt understand what function the digital control has but know it is one of the armortek options so there may be a post on the armortek site for this also.

Benedini have the switches Encoder and digital control
http://www.benedini.de/Home_E/Products_ ... cts_e.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Here is step by step on the fitting of encoder to futaba 7c.
http://www.armortek.co.uk/forum/viewtop ... highlight=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I will probably fit the encoder or at least try as I have the beneding sound system and the 12 position will be good option. otherwise messing about with 3 way switch.
There's quite a lot of reference to the futaba on the Armortek forum as it's the radio the sell and recommend for their setups.

Sparky old boy yes it is easy to do , i use a futaba T6EXA that has no fewer than 10 buttons on it , the main thing to remember is that one wire is common to all and the other goes to the end of travel of the pots,.......................

Thanks Fleshy,
I think the hardest thing on the 7C is that nothing is easy to get to
The stick movement pots are on the outside edge and "upside down", all the connections to the pcb are on the underside.
